Mark Stapleton’s legal experience spans more than three decades across civil, criminal, juvenile, and circuit courts. He has practiced throughout Tennessee’s Third Judicial District and beyond, building a career grounded in trial work and a deep understanding of the courtroom. Over the course of his career, he has handled a wide range of cases and has tried numerous jury and bench trials, giving him firsthand experience in the responsibilities and expectations of a judge.
Mark is board-certified in Civil Trial Advocacy and Civil Pre-Trial Practice by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, an American Bar Association-accredited organization. He has also been active in the legal community, speaking at continuing legal education courses and contributing to professional publications throughout his career.
In addition to his courtroom experience, Mark has led Stapleton Law Office since the late 1990s, serving clients across the region with dedication and integrity.
Family & Community
Mark Stapleton is a lifelong East Tennessean with deep roots in Tennessee’s Third Judicial District. He has called Hamblen County home for more than 30 years and has spent his life living, working, and serving in this community.
Mark and his wife, Julianne, have built their life here and raised their family in the place they are proud to call home. Today, their children and grandchildren continue to live in the area, reflecting their strong connection and commitment to the community.
They are active in their church, Manley Baptist Church, and value time spent with family, whether at home, on the lake, or supporting local events. Mark believes in giving back to the community that has supported him throughout his life and is committed to serving the people of this district with integrity and dedication.
